This course consists of one mandatory unit with the following learning outcomes:

Unit 301 - Fell and Process Trees Over 380mm

• Be able to promote health and safety and industry good practice

• Be able to fell and process trees over 380mm

• Understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice

• Understand how to fell and process trees over 380mm

• Understand how to remove branches from felled trees using a chainsaw

• Understand how to take down hung up trees

Course Title: Felling and Processing Trees Over 380mm

Prerequisites: CS30 NPTC Unit 201 Carry out maintenance of chainsaw and cutting system, Unit 202 Cross-cut timber using a chainsaw, CS31 Unit 203 Fell and process trees up to 380mm

Location: Mere Sands Wood, Sites across the North West, Workplace Training Available

​

Times: 9.00am - 4.00pm

Duration: 3 days

Equipment Required: Chainsaw Boots, Chainsaw Trousers, Helmet with Visor and Ear Defenders, Chainsaw with maximum 15 inch guide bar, Sharpening Kit with Plug Spanner, Suitable Waterproof Clothing, Chainsaw Gloves - Please contact us if any of the listed equipment is not available to you as we can provide some items.
